Teachers:

For Texas experience, you will request your previous district to send the records directly to CFISD via e-mail to HRParaprofessional@cfisd.net. If you have out-of-state experience or accredited private school experience, there are specific forms and information required. Directions and forms can be found on our website. Service records must be received in Human Resources no later than the last day of school in which the school year you are hired.

How many pay periods are there throughout the school year?
What is prorated salary and how do I know if I am impacted?
If your start date is after the position’s calendar start date, your salary will be prorated based on the number of days you will be working in the school year. CFISD salaries are annualized. This means your prorated earnings will be divided equally among all remaining paychecks issued through the school year and summer, even if you are not working.
What leave time do I receive?
Each year you will earn 5 local and 5 state leave days for the first 187 days of employment. Local days are sick days and may be used only during CFISD employment. State days are personal days.
Employees working a 250-day calendar may also earn up to two (2) additional local leave days, six (6) optional days, and vacation days based on years of job-like experience.
