New Hire: Out-of-State Certified Teachers

• ✅ Apply for a Review of Credentials through the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Visit TEA Review of Credentials to learn more.
• ✅ Complete fingerprinting 
  • As part of the Review of Credentials process, you will be prompted to pay and schedule your fingerprints.  Note: TEA will not issue you a teacher certificate until you have completed fingerprinting. 
• ✅ Remind references to complete reference request (include your most recent principal).
• ✅ Apply for One-Year certificate through TEA (if applicable). TEA may issue a Standard Certificate depending on your qualifications.

• ✅ Mail or email your service records and official transcript (include degree conferral date): 
  • Mail: 11440 Matzke Rd., Cypress, TX 77429 (Attn: Records & Transcripts) 
  • Email: HRprofessional@cfisd.net 
  • Note: Service records must be sent directly from your previous district and official transcripts must be sent directly from your university.
• ✅ Wait for confirmation of credentials, salary, and start date. 

✅ Record your employee ID for system access 
✅ Note your first paycheck date 

1. ✅ Complete Part I of I-9 Form Online within 3 days: I-9 Form – Part 1 
   • Use zip 77429, select Professional 
2. ✅ Schedule or attend document verification.
3. ✅ Bring acceptable ID documents: USCIS I-9 Documents 
   • Location: Mark Henry Administration Building, 11440 Matzke Rd., Cypress, TX 77429
      

✅ Sign your contract electronically 
✅ Complete onboarding forms (including direct deposit) 

• After completing your onboarding forms, you will receive an automatic email with instructions on how to schedule your appointment to receive your badge.

✅ Complete Survey (Director of Talent Management will email you a link to complete it)
